UNIX programmers = Santa Claus?

While seating on the VIP room waiting for some colleagues to have a lunch I've talked with Adenilson Cavalcanti (Amora developer) and he told me about a Dilbert cartoon featuring a clone of Jon Maddog's character (he was on our left). Maddog smiled and told us that there are several other cartoons about bearbed, strange-looking people that uses computers.

Me @ WSL 2008

WSL 2008, upload feito originalmente por brunoabinader.

Hi again!
Today I've presented my article at FISL 9.0 / WSL 2008. I was a little bit anxious about this because that was my first presentation to an unknown public, but everything went well :) As soon as possible I'll be publishing here both source codes and the presentation itself, even the presentation video, if it gets available here.

Presentation at WSL 2008 (FISL 9.0)

Hi all,
As some of you may know, I'm going to show a presentation about my article at WSL 2008 (Workshop de Software Livre), an internal event of FISL 9.0 (Fórum Internacional de Software Livre), an international event about free software that happens in Porto Alegre, Brazil, April 17-19. My presentation is scheduled to happen on April 17, 12:00/13:00, at room 41F (Alan Turing room).

For more information, click here.

In case you don't know, I've wrote an article about "A comparative of open-source tools Pthreads and GOMP for the creation of threads on the GCC compiler". Feel free to ask for a PDF of the article or the presentation.

Hope to see you there!
